Ducane outdoor grills has long been a reliable provider of gas grills, making a good product with a reputation for being dependable and a good value in the gas grill segment. Two years ago, the company was purchased by Weber Stephen, the maker of Weber grills, however they have kept the product lines separate to date.
Starting in 2009, Weber substantiality reduced the Ducane grill line-up, presumably to reduce overlap, leaving only the Affinity 3100 and Affinity 4100 series gas grills which are mid to entry level models. This included the elimination of the well price high end Ducane Meridian line.
